Jeff and I met on a blind date, and have been together since. I appreciated Jeff for not being like the other guys: wanting to move quick, or wanting to kiss me on the 2nd date… I told Jeff what I wanted, and he was actually ok with it. He was ok with what I had to say, valued my opinion, and respected me. He was a gentleman!! HOLY CRAP!!! I found the one!!! I found the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. I never had that feeling before, and I never wanted to let him go.
We were married September 19, 2009. Life was going great! We were newlyweds, a unit, It was perfect!
Then, Jeff was laid off… My bread-winner, my workaholic husband, my “I will sleep when the job is done” guy, laid off??!!… Needless to say, we were both devastated. 3 weeks later, we had an electrical fire in the garage, and we almost lost our house. THANK GOODNESS Jeff was home, and with some help from our neighbor, the house was saved; our home was saved.
The garage was replaced; Jeff found a job 6 months after the garage fire. Life is back on track. I wanted to start school in 2011, but I had to wait to make sure Jeff’s job was going to work out. I’m happy to inform you, that I am going back to school this year; with a little encouragement from Jeff, of course. J
My single co-workers always tell me that I took the last good- guy. I do believe I have a wonderful husband. We laugh with each other, encourage one another, and comfort each other. He is the Cheese to my macaroni, the jelly to my PB & J, the ying to my yang… I’m sure you get the point…
A wise man told us, “Always appreciate the things you have.” I appreciate my husband, the home he has provided, endless love, being my sole-mate, and teaching me not to take life so seriously. He isn’t the mushy type of guy, he isn’t perfect, but he is perfect for me! Thank you
“CARPE DIEM”- seize the day!!!!!!!
